Do they really Care?
Hello there again. Well, I was pondering on what should my first blog be about? And, i got this idea to write about our society. Literally, my personal belief is that there are a lot of myths and misconceptions. In this blog, I will be breaking two of them, as there is a lot, and by the end, hope this would change your mind towards a positive light.
Let's begin with the most obvious one.
The unspoken rules that we all live by:
From the day we took our first breath, the timeline is already planned and fixed for us. Yes, I am talking about the stereotypical timeline. Go to School, get into a good college, and get a high paying job. Or, at least from my personal experience. That was the ticket to a successful and a happy life. Does the above mentioned trend would stand true in today's world? What would your answer be?
Not to get ahead ourselves here. Some of us have succeeded in this path and some of us didn't. And that is totally fine. I believe we live in a world of abundance. Especially, after the IT boom or the dot.com bubble began to grow, an infinite number of opportunities began to present itself. Think about Amazon, Facebook, PayPal, Netflix, all of these are examples which had took advantage of the opportunities. New jobs or careers have been created, which we would have never thought of.
To get to the point, I believe we have been conditioned to obey the orders. The one who would ask questions would be labelled as "misfit" or "delusional". But, the truth be told, that is how it actually is. I mean, do you really think that 9 to 5 would really be able to give you the life that you wanted. Think about the person you admire, or the person who have everything that you want. Would that person agree with us? Absolutely not.
Me included, i am the product of the same rules that applied to you. It is a comfort zone that we have been programmed to not cross. The thought of doing something different, outside the comfort zone, such as writing this blog, is scary. I had a plethora of thoughts while writing this.
VALIDATION:
Attention is the new currency. TikTokers, YouTubers, Instagrammers are all earning in millions today, thanks to the influence they gathered around them. All these attention is giving them the one thing they all crave for, wait for it, Validation.
Everyone needs to be validated. What they eat, What they were, places they visited, or the friends they hang around with. While the governments are running for the space race or the Nuclear race or AI race, or whatever it is, the commoners like us are running for the "Me-Race". People want to be recognized for their appearance or something they think is worth it.
The compliments received today no longer feels like they mean it. It feels like a war has just begun. If a person complimented you for the looks, it would probably mean they would try to overperform you. Maybe, by wearing a better costume, or by looking good, or by buying a nice car.
Nobody truly cares about you. Everything that happens around us, we think it affects us, whereas in reality, it actually doesn't.
Hope that this blog provided some insights. If you have any comments about this first blog, please feel free to post down below. Open to any suggestions that you have to provide, to help me improve the quality of the content will be appreciated.
